Deu 17:2-5 "You may discover that a man or woman living in one of your cities that the LORD your God is about to give you has done evil in the eyes of the LORD your God by transgressing his covenant. (3) He may be following and serving other gods by bowing down to them—that is, to the sun, the moon, or to any of the heavenly host (something I did not command). (4) When it is reported to you or you hear of it, then investigate it thoroughly. When the truth has been established that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, (5) summon the man or the woman who did this evil thing to your city gates. Then stone the man or the woman to death.

Are there people in our society who worship “other Gods”? Well, yeah!

On the one hand, there’s Judaism, Christianity, and Islam which all evolved from the Abrahamic tradition so, theoretically, followers of these religions all worship the same God.

But, then there’s Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Sikhism, Shinto, and Wicca, Neo-druidism, and even Satanism.

Now, I’ll admit Bible-believing, homosexuality-despising Christians aren’t too fond of these other religions; but, the Bible tells us that these are all abominations - that people who worship these “other gods” are to be taken to the city gate and stoned to death!

Heard of any Bible-thumping, God-affirming, righteousness-restoring movements to prevent these abominably behaving worshipers of other gods from getting married?

Huh? What was that again?

Yeah, I didn’t think so.
